I work with glass specialising in the areas of fusing, slumping and kiln carving. I use these different methods to build layers into my work creating depth, texture and disrupting the passage of light. Photographs of the sea inspire my current body of work. I have taken elements from the sea such as the colour and flow of water and reinterpreted them within my glass.
I kiln carve using kiln fibre cut with laser technology. Laser cutting enables me to formulate designs and cut complex patterns that I would never be able to cut by hand. Using kiln carving and print together creates interesting depth and pattern within the glass.
